HamKuf is a halal matchmaking app for Muslims who are seeking marriage. Instead of open swiping and direct messaging, introductions are guided by trusted mediators, profiles are ID-verified, and a guardian (wali) can be involved at every step. ### Is HamKuf halal? HamKuf is designed around Islamic etiquette for marriage. There is no direct messaging without consent, photos are blurred by default, women can involve their wali, and every introduction is aimed at nikah rather than casual dating. You stay in control of who sees your profile. ### How does the wali (guardian) feature work? A woman can invite her wali to her profile through a private link. Once active, the wali can follow introductions and conversations, and women with an active wali get higher conversation limits on the free plan. Involving a wali is always optional and always the user's choice. ### How are profiles verified? Members can submit identity verification, which our team reviews before a verified badge is shown. Verification exists to reduce fake profiles and protect serious members, and verification documents are never shown to other users. ### Who sees my photos? Photos are blurred by default. You decide who can see them, and you can block or report anyone at any time. Photos are compressed on upload, and you can add a short intro video of up to 20 seconds and voice messages in chat. ### What does a mediator do? A mediator is a trusted third party — often a matchmaker, family elder, or marriage bureau — who introduces two compatible people, helps keep conversations respectful, and supports both sides toward a decision. Mediators on HamKuf can guide introductions and earn for the successful matches they help bring together. HamKuf also offers an AI assistant for guidance and safety; it is clearly labelled as AI and never impersonates a person. ### Is HamKuf free? Yes. You can create a profile and start for free with weekly limits on introductions and open conversations. Optional paid plans raise those limits and include an "Introduce Me" service where we help bring you to a match's attention. Prices are shown in the app before you pay. ### Where can I use HamKuf? HamKuf works on the web at hamkuf.app/app today, and an Android app is coming soon to Google Play. An iOS app is planned afterwards.
